Whether your rider is climbing into the saddle for the very first time or ready to continue building their skills, Georgetown Riding Academy offers lesson options for a variety of ages and experience levels.
Trial Lesson — $45
Ages 4+ | 30 Minutes | Private Lesson
Our Trial Lesson is the perfect first step for new riders interested in joining GRA. Riders receive one-on-one instruction while getting a feel for our horses, instructors, and lesson program.

Pony Tot Lessons — Ages 2–3

The perfect first horse experience for your littlest horse lover!
Pony Tot Lessons are designed specifically for ages 2–3 and provide a fun, age-appropriate introduction to horses and riding. Each short private session combines hands-on pony time with a fully led ride.
Through simple games and activities, Pony Tots begin developing balance, confidence, coordination, and comfort around horses—all while having fun at the barn.

Tiny Tot Lessons — $180/Month

Tiny Tot Lessons are designed for young horse lovers who are ready to begin learning the foundations of horseback riding.
With one-on-one instruction in a fun and encouraging environment, riders work on balance, steering, basic riding skills, confidence, and becoming more independent in the saddle.

Private Riding Lessons — $200/Month
Ages 7+ | 30 Minutes | 4 Lessons Per Month
Private lessons provide individualized instruction based on each rider’s experience, confidence, and goals.
They are ideal for beginners learning the fundamentals of riding as well as current riders who benefit from focused, one-on-one instruction as they continue developing their skills.

Group Riding Lessons — $220/Month
Ages 7+ | 2–6 Riders | 1 Hour | 4 Lessons Per Month
Group lessons give riders the opportunity to continue developing their skills while riding alongside other GRA students.
These lessons are available to current students who are comfortable riding independently at the trot. Each group lesson is scheduled for one hour and includes approximately 45 minutes of riding along with hands-on time grooming, preparing, and caring for their horse.
Group lessons are a great way to build confidence, improve ring awareness, ride with others, and make new barn friends!

Safety Rules

Do not
approach or pet any animals at GRA - Please use caution while entering/exiting GRA
- Drive slowly (10mph).
- No running
- No yelling or screaming
- Do not open any horse's stall door or enter ay stall unless accompanied by GRA representative
- Look both ways before entering the arena. Horses have the right of way
- Do not approach horses form behind
- Do not feed the horses or ay other animals residing at GRA without permission from a GRA representative. All treats must be approved by GRA
- Do not approach/mount/ride the horses unless accompanied by GRA representative
- Proper attire (boot and long pants) required for riding and handling horses
- ASTM/SEI certified riding helmets are required while mounted
- Children must be accompanied at all times outside of the duration of your schedules lesson time.grooming time by a parent or responsible adult who can control the child.
- No spooking/ scaring the horses
- Do not put your hand, or allow children to put hands, inside the stalls with the horses
- No alcohol
- No smoking insides the barn
- Parents/Guardian/Sibling and any other observers must remain in the designated viewing areas
- Please observe and respect all posted signage
- GRA is not responsible for accidents/ injury
- GRA reserves the right to refuse service
