HOMESCHOOL PROGRAMS
Engaging, Horse-Centered Learning for Homeschool Students in Cleveland, TN
At Georgetown Riding Academy, we are proud to offer two enriching programs designed specifically for homeschool families. Whether your child is interested in learning about horses from the ground up or wants to develop riding skills through structured lessons, our homeschool programs provide meaningful, hands-on learning in a safe and supportive environment.
With a focus on personal growth, responsibility, and connection with animals, our programs offer an ideal blend of education and experience for homeschool students.
Homeschool Horse Club
Hands-on horse education for homeschoolers ages 5–12!
Georgetown Riding Academy's Homeschool Horse Club gives horse-loving kids the opportunity to learn all about horses through hands-on experiences at the barn.
Unlike a traditional classroom program, Horse Club is all about learning by doing. Each month, students will explore a new horse-related topic while working around our lesson horses and experiencing what life at a real working barn is like.
What Will We Learn?
Each Horse Club meeting features a different theme. Topics may include:
-
Horse safety and behavior
-
Grooming and daily horse care
-
Horse anatomy
-
Hoof care and the farrier
-
Feeding and nutrition
-
Saddles, bridles, and tack
-
Basic horse health
-
Grooming and clipping
-
Barn management
-
Seasonal horse care
Activities will vary each month and may include grooming horses, making feed buckets, cleaning tack, identifying horse anatomy, learning to pick hooves, practicing safe leading, completing barn chores, and much more.

Children do not need any previous horse experience to participate. Horse Club is designed for both horse-crazy beginners and children who already ride but want to learn more about caring for horses.
